Making Russian Dolls
Ever wondered why there is such a variation with the price of Russian dolls?
Like everything, you get what you pay for.
Many cheap imitations are called Russian dolls but are actually made in China. The wood used is usually inferior, not seasoned and cracks easily.
The painting is often naive and thickly (and quickly) coated.
All sets sold by More Than Gifts are authentic and Russian and handcarved. We are proud to sell quality sets.

World Fair Trade Day
Saturday 9th May 2009 is the seventh annual World Fair Trade Day, when the
World Fair Trade Organisation
(WFTO, formerly IFAT) and its members promote global awareness of fair trade.
The second Saturday of May every year is a great opportunity to celebrate the 100% fair trade organisations and companies, known as Alternative Trading Organisations (AT0s).

Products Costs: Info from MTG
Many of our products are purchased in UDS or Euros. Due to the weak pound exchange, the trade price has increased by around 30%.
At present we still have much stock at the 'old' price so can maintain our original lower prices. You may notice that some products start showing as 'low quantities in stock'.
We can still obtain all of our products but are trying to minimise the increase that will occur with new stock. If you would like something not in stock please let us know and we will try to obtain it for you.
The new cost may be higher than that currently shown on the website but we would inform you of the new price immediately and, of course, we are still able to offer good discount rates for larger quantities.

International Delivery: Do you delivery outside of the UK?
More Than Gifts can deliver to most countries of the world although we are currently unable to send to USA or Canada.
For European countries (including Eire), we offer airmail delivery for a small fixed additional charge and this option can be selected as you proceed through checkout.
For other countries, please email us and we will be happy to calculate an obligational delivery cost for you.
