These carvings use a tropical wood known as Suar wood that is
from a proven sustainable source - all trees must have a license before being cut.
Approximate size of carving is 16 cms x 11 cms (6¼ x 4¼ inches).
These carvings are purchased from a BAFTS recognised supplier (British Association for Fair Trade Shops) and the craftsmen receive up to 4 times more pay for their work.
