A wonderful detailed carving depicting 2 owls on a branch.
It has been carved from a tropical wood known as parasite wood that forms mushroom-like growths on the branches. These naturally created shapes are then used to carve these wondrful scupltures.
Approximate size is 30 cms x 14 cms (12 x 5½ inches).
These carvings are purchased from a BAFTS recognised supplier (British Association for Fair Trade Shops) and the craftsmen receive up to 4 times more pay for their work. |
